Casey Lupariello
ALA Curriculum & Programming Lead
Casey is a passionate student who is now in her 4th year of involvement with optiMize. She LOVES talking to people about optiMize so please never hesitate to say hi!
Casey is a Sociology major with the Law, Justice, and Social Change sub-major, and a minor in Education for Empowerment. With the goal of helping as many people as possible in as many different ways as possible, her involvement in optiMize, combined with her areas of study, has provided Casey with a wide variety of knowledge and experience in social change, inequality, and working towards building a better future. Casey, in partnership with optiMize, conducted an independent study last year on antiracism, isomorphism, and positive organizational culture through the lens of the Social Innovation Challenge. Please ask her about this if you want to learn more (caseylup@umich.edu)!
Currently, Casey is the ALA 250 Lead and sits on the eMerge programming committee. Her past roles have included the Organizational Culture Challenge Lead, the Support Team Lead, the Organizational Culture Committee Lead, and the Summer Fellowship Administrative Facilitator.
Some knowledge and experience Casey can bring to the table relates to program development, organizational culture, community building, leadership development, curriculum design, antiracism, isomorphism, facilitation, and education.
If you made it this far, fun fact: Casey has a twin brother who goes to Ohio State.
