Meichi (Mary) Wu

Meichi Wu is a senior at the University of Michigan triple-majoring in Communication & Media (Honors), International Studies, and Economics. She is currently a Social Media Fellow with Optimize through the Transfer Bridge Fellowship, where she combines creativity and strategy to build meaningful engagement. Passionate about aesthetics and innovation, she enjoys creating work that is both inspiring and impactful, with a strong commitment to connecting people with resources and amplifying diverse voices. Originally from Beijing, China, Meichi transferred from Boston University and is now in her third year at Michigan. Beyond Optimize, she serves as President of the Chinese Students & Scholars Association, leading a 130+ member team to strengthen cultural exchange and community engagement. She is the founder and president of the Michigan Capital Investment Club, which promotes equal access to financial knowledge and resources for students. In addition, she contributes to two research labs exploring consumer habits and their influence on feminism.She is also a member of the Michigan Debate Team.

Outside of academics and leadership, Meichi is passionate about travel, food, and music, which broaden her global perspective and fuel her interest in law and international cooperation. She is happy to say hi to everyone! Catch her and say Hi!
